Today in class: Today was the visit from the Marion County Sheriff's Office mobile crime lab. Students who maintained an A/B average for the first nine weeks were invited to a special presentation by the Forensic techs from the sheriff's office. We met in the lab during 2nd period and the team showed a Power Point while showing the class several key evidence items that they had brought. Students were exceptionally well behaved and asked many questions about investigating crimes and the education needed to obtain this job. Techs also talked about the requirements and possible salaries of the job as well as market demand for crime scene techs.

Once we returned to class students were given the remainder of the period to group up and verify test results. We finished out the day with students presenting the evidence they gathered and the results of their tests and "äccusing suspects." There is much anticipation over "who done it!" with several groups claiming victory in solving the case.
