Considering his initial experiment, work with you partner to design a new experiment based on his research. 4.What is the molecular formula for glucose and how many hydrogen atoms are in one molecule of glucose? 5. Get creative; since we know chloroplasts in plant cells can capture and store the sun's energy, discuss a device you might create that can use this as a power source. Today in class we will discuss the experimental design process and how scientists examine a problem. Let's think about the question, "WHY do we do science?" I mean really, what is the bottom line or rather, what are we trying to do when we do science? Students will have 5 minutes to work in teams and design a product using the scientific design process.
