Students were given their mousetrap race car packets and deadlines were written into their planners. Their first fully constructed prototype is due in class on February 4th. On this day I will help them with ideas. I WILL NOT ASSIST ASSEMBLE CARS! If they bring in a car, I can help them test it and improve it.
February 12th and 13th are the days of the race. (Students in Wshington, D.C. Will race the Monday they return to school.)

Students had time in class today to work with a partner and become sages on the stage. Each partnership read a section of chapter 1 and then went to the board to give notes to the class about what they thought the most important part of their reading was. Following that, students worked on their maps from Last week's activity.
Today's homework:
Watch the video Speed and velocity in their simplest terms.
Read chapter 1 , Section 2 Ch1 Section 2 Speed and Velocity. Do Math SKill question page 21, Do NGSS skill check Page24, Do section Review. Due Wednesday or Thursday.
