Today's Class:
In class today student got to review density, mass and volume problems The one thing that seems to trip up virtually everyone is the 5 step method. This is designed to help YOU keep everything in order. When you take shortcuts, you start to get wrong answers.REMEMBER! Step 1 Write down your formula and triangle. Step 2: Read the problem and write down your knowns and unknowns. Represent your unknown as a ? Step three: plug in your knowns and unknowns to your formula. REMEMBER- keep your units in your equation. Step four: Solve the problem and cross cancel making sure you have your correct units. Step five: circle the correct answer with it's unit.
Today's homework:
Watch the video Force and motion.
Read chapter 1 Describing motion. DO the opening probe on page 8 about train rides. DO the "try it"activity on page 13. Do the lesson 1 review (Three assignments are due on Monday January 26th, 2015.
