Aquaculture
We've begun construction on our new greehouse and additional towers. When we are done we will be growing alost 5000 crops! Our 4th fish farm should arrive today which will expand our capacity in that area too.
This past weekend Aquaponics did its part to help protect the oceans by donating a weeks worth of harvested produce to Sea Shepherd Conservation. Their newest ship, the Farley Mowat was in port in Tampa so we delivered our produce, got a tour of the ship, met the crew, and got a Sea Shepherd flag to fly over the farm. The ship's crew was grateful and explained that they were heading into the Sea of Cortez to protect the extremely endangered Vaquita Dolphin. There are only an estimated 90 surviving members of this species and only 25 of them are breeding age females.
