Today is a half day! No changes to the blog from yesterday!
Today's Quote:
'Life is one big road with lots of signs.
So when you riding through the ruts, don't complicate your mind. Flee from hate, mischief and jealousy.
Don't bury your thoughts, put your vision to reality.
Wake Up and Live!'
~ Bob Marley
Recap:
In 6th grade we prepped for our solar input lab, but, as stated in the lab, we need a sunny day with clear skies. That was not yesterday. Instead, we performed a dry run so when we do go out, we know exactly what we're doing. Students turned in their homework.
In 7th grade, we reviewed our terms and concepts and then students dove in finishing up their antigen/antibody response models.
8th graders were driven slightly crazy trying to get all of their BB's into a measurable shape, but ultimately succeeded. Once they did that, it was simple to infer the size of an individual BB. In order to check the accuracy of our data, they ran the % error calculation after I gave them the actual size od a BB (6mm). We are now ready to move on to the Oleic acid measurement using the same technique.

Weather and Atmosphere:
Unit Essential Question: How do the relationships among the five spheres affect life on Earth
How do the relationships among the five spheres affect life on Earth?
Key Learning Statement: The atmosphere is layered and within these layers are weather patterns that affect life and are caused by interactions among spheres. Water is constantly being recycled through the spheres. Heat transfer affects the development of weather.
