6th graders Almost finished notes over tsunamis and volcanoes ad we will do that tomorrow
7th grade finished human reproduction with the exception of the male timeline which we will do today.
8th graders tackled a free fall problem and then I realized I need to go back and explain this in more detail.
NOTE: egg lander drops will be Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

Today and Tuesday I will be offering a one-time chance to get caught up. All grades are in the grade book. We will also be notifying parents BY PHONE.
1. Check your portal (You can only make up work in this nine weeks)
2. For ANY work you are missing you will be able to read that chapter in the textbook, do ALL the section review questions, and submit your notes and questions by Friday of this week.
3. You will receive a grade no higher than a 70% for this work. (You should have done it when it was due)
4. you MUST put the following as the heading on your paper:
full name, period, title of the unit you are doing, the assignment you are replacing. If this information IS NOT on the paper, you will receive no credit.
5. If you are missing IXL work (you should have 10 assignments done at the end of this week with an 80% or higher) you can make them up by Friday for no higher than 70% (you should have done them when they were due.)
6. If you missed a lab, you will have to find a corresponding chapter in the book and do it for work. (It cannot be the same as one of the other assignments you have done)
EXAMPLE: You didn't turn in the notes over the nervous system. You find the chapter on the nervous system and READ it, taking notes. Do the section review questions AS YOU READ. Do the chapter review at the end. Turn it all in by Friday with the heading information above.

Everyone wants to use the BEST materials, but everyone ALSO wants to make a profit. What happens is, you have to make trade-offs. Choosing alternative materials allows you to ensure quality and safety while still maintaining a healthy profit margin. This is a RISK you take in business. We are going to apply an element of this risk to your egg landers.
The fine print:
- You may work individually or as partners.
- You must form a corporate name.
- You will purchase ALL materials for your egg lander vehicle. (I may have some of them in the class, but I cannot supply everyone, everything) I will supply one "eggstronaut" to each individual or partner group.
- You must use the following "risk" points guide when purchasing materials:

- As payment, you will also receive one "get out of test free" card, usable on any regular class test or quiz.
- The landing zone: you must land within the target zone. Two grade points will be subtracted from your overall total for every .5 meters outside the target zone. In the real world, precision and accuracy are extremely important and costly in both time and money if they are not part of the constraints of any project.
