8th Grade Honors began notes over our chapter 4 unit on Energy. We held a brief discussion to determine what people know. and we found out that while many students "know" that the sun is the source of ALL energy on Earth, they can't explain how it does that. We also found that pesky misconception that energy "disappears" in a system. (I demonstrated this by dropping cups on the table). Students were given a video to watch for homework and will discuss what they found, today.

7th Graders continued reviewing the notes they took on genetics and we got caught up. We will continue this today.

5th period finished up chapter 4, and will move into chapter 14 today completing the book work as they go.
