Today in class: We reviewed our activity on sequencing and I went over the 4 terms we talked about; Sequence- putting things in the correct order, Observation- making detailed and careful points about what you are doing, Estimation- comparing a known size to an unknown object in order to determine a ball park measure. And empiricle evidence- evidence that can be supported with facts. Students should remember the climate change examples I gave.

I listed the 5 vocabulary words on the board- English system, International system, measurement, unit, and byte and presented the method we would use to make vocabulary flash cards this year. (see link). Normally vocabulary will be assigned on Monday and the cards due Wednesday. This week however, they are due Friday. The grading rubric is in the PowerPoint.

Students set up their cow with the lab template (model) Every lab will take 4 pages from the COW. Two pages to perform the lab and 2 pages for writing about the lab afterward.
