Recap:
All classes took their vocabulary test and had time to work on their IXL homework. I want to remind every student and parent that IXL counts as a class grade and students have to have 2 units done EACH WEEK at 80% or higher. I will take the grade Friday at 4pm. Video clips assigned on the blog are to be watched AT HOME and notes are to be taken for a grade. In 6th grade we are finishing up our unit on plate tectonics. In 7th we've entered the digestive system and should finish it up today. 8th grade is just beginning the force and motion unit.
Brain Bender:
The music stopped and the crowd in the tent watched as the blindfolded man fell to his death. The man was murdered. How did it happen?

As with everything in life there is a certain amount of risk involved. Businesses would prefer to use the best materials when designing a product, however, this greatly increases the cost of that item. Businesses, therefore compromise and use less durable materials and maximize their use of what they do have. (you don't cut a square out of a sheet of plywood rather, you cut it from one side.)

How do the processes of the rock cycle and human activities alter the surface of Earth over time?
Key Learning Statement: The shape of the land changes over time through two major processes, both natural and manmade.
