Yesterday we were on a modified bell schedule as students collected their laptops and student ID's/lanyards. We started class by introducing this class website, and talking briefly about some more important policies and procedures. 

Entry Task/ Essential Question: (EQ):

EQ: How can I make my year more comfortable through the use of a social contract?

Who are you?- take the quiz. You will need to sign in using an email address.

Class Activity/ Assignment:

Take 1 sheet of card stock and fold it in half. In the middle of the card,  please print your secret Identity. Under your name put your official superhero name. On the back of your folded card, in the upper left-hand corner, list three of your superpowers. In the lower left-hand corner list your "kryptonite". In the upper right-hand corner list three of your favorite things. In the lower right-hand corner, list three things you're looking forward to learning this year.  Think about this:
Why is it important to consider how people learn with being a student? When being a teacher?
From your experiences, what do some teachers get right? What do they get wrong?
Should students have input on the learning process?
What do you have to bring to the partnership in order for this to be a successful year?
