Tuesday December 9th, 2014

Today's Quote:

We interrupt this broadcast... Sorry that there was no blog post for Monday, but the Brighthouse outage that affected most of Marion County got me too.

Students now have their mini- boards. Everything is due on December 10th. NOTE! If you are putting a project in the school science fair, YOU NEED TO HAVE YOUR BACK BOARD ONLY, here by Wednesday. Everything else will be due on Thursday or Friday and you will go to the media center for your board when you make your class presentations.

Science Fair Schedule of deadlines:
Week Ending December 10th, 2014 (Thursday & Friday) Students will give a 3 minute oral presentation in front of the class about their project.
December 10th, 2014 5:30pm to 6:30pm School science fair in Media center. Parents and families are welcome to attend! If you are planning on entering a board in the school science fair it must be here on Wednesday!

Today's Lateral Thinking question:

While lounging in his bathtub, Hardy Pyle decided to play with his two foot long plastic boat, which was filled with metal nuts and bolts. While playing, he accidentallytipped the boat over, dumping the contentsinto the water. With the nuts and bolts in the water, will the water level in the bathtub rise, fall, or stay the same as it was with the nuts and bolts in the boat? Explain why.
