Today's Quote:

'Gie me ae spark o' nature's fire, That's a' the learning I desire.'

~ Robert Burns

RECAP:

What a week! I was out Friday at an in service in Gainesville and UF and brought back some fantastic learning opportunties for my students. I was also a little dsiappointed Saturday. 12 students who are slated to take the ACT signed up for a Saturday CRAM session and I arrived at the school at 8am and stayed to 11:30am but not a single student appeared. I don't mind being there for ya'll, but it would be nice if ya'll would be there for yourselves.

Students who correct ALL the mistakes on their returned papers will receive 10 points more. Make your corrections on a separate piece of paper and staple it to the actual paper, turn it in. Example: If you scored a 60 on an assignment and you correct ALL of the mistakes, I will add 10 points to make it a 70.

Entry Task/ Brain Bender:

Charles Pompuss travels the world buying expensive pieces of art, gems, and antiques to add to his collection. Each time Charles negotiates a price for an item, he insists on wearing dark sunglasses, regardless of the lighting conditions in the room. What is the reason behind Charles' peculiar behavior?
