Combining Force

Speed and velocity in their simplest terms. Motion and Force

Using the Pythagorean Theorem to Add Forces in Angles

Today's Class:

Students began their mousetrap races on Thursday and Friday and we will continue this today. Students will create graphs using Excel on the laptops to graph the motion of the class cars. (Students who did not make a care can use this as a second chance to pull out some type of grade rather than taking a zero on the project.)
Ticket out the door- Describe at least three forces acting upon your mousetrap car.

Today's homework:

Watch the video Speed, Velocity, and Acceleration
Unit Vocabulary
speed, velocity, positive acceleration, negative acceleration, inertia, momentum, contact forces (friction), non-contact forces (gravity, electrical and magnetic) balanced forces, unbalanced forces, net forces, Law of Universal Gravitation, mass, weight.
