Today's Quote:

Recap:

Students worked on reading about lab safety in their Sciencesaurus and should have taken notes in their COWS. I will do a note check today. They also Pairs Read from their Sciencesaurus, over lab equipment. Not only did I model this for the class, but we made certain everyone understood the expectation. Following that activity we went to the media center and students did an online course in Lab Safety where they were able to save a certificate of completion.

We went over the instructions for making a great peanut butter and grape jelly sandwich and I modeled for the classes as several students read how to make the sandwich. I think it was pretty clear that, in Science, we need to be very specific about our instructions and steps.

Today's Agenda:

Essential Question:

What does good data consist of? Think Quantitative and Qualitative.

In Class today we are going to set up our COW for our first lab tomorrow. If any student has a a peanut allergy, they will need to report to the media center with a science book for an alternative assignment.

Homework:

Read the article, As VW Pushed To Be No. 1 Ambitions Fueled A Scandal. You are to analyze this article for the scientific method and answer the questions on the Google Form, Questions of Hypothesis.
